Who We Are:
The establishment of Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool was a dream of its creators for many years. The desire to create a program that offered the academic benefits of a center-based school with the nurturing and family atmosphere of a home-based daycare. It was from this hope that Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool was born.
Miss Alicia has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Education. She taught in center-based preschools for over 20 years. In all that time she never forgot growing up in a house where her mother ran a home daycare. The children in her mother’s care became more than students, they became family, many of whom she is still in contact with to this day.
It has been scientifically proven that children flourish in nurturing family environments. Upton’s Little Saints is bringing proven academic instruction home to an environment where your child is not just another name in an endless string of students who rotate through a center school, but to a place where you and your child are family.
What We Believe:
We live in a diverse community of people with various backgrounds and beliefs, and although we are respectful of your views we ask that you please respect the views of the school while on premises.
The following is the basic Statement of Faith that serves as the basis of the Christian views held by Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool and Childcare.
· We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God, revealing the three persons of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
· We believe in the Incarnation and the virgin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as the true God and true man.
· We believe that man was created in the image of God, but is separated from God by sin.
· We believe that man is redeemed by grace through faith in Christ’s victorious atonement for sins by the shedding of His blood on the Cross.
· We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all, that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
· We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return, and the resurrection of His people.
Our Purpose:
The purpose of Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool is a sound academic education, integrated with a Christian view of God and the world within a warm, caring family environment. Our emphasis is on providing a basic Christian philosophy of love as an approach to life. Both the Old and New Testaments emphasize that instructing, training, and nurturing is to begin at an early age. Jesus said, “Suffer the little children to come to me…” Luke 18:16. We live in an economy that forces an increasing number of parents to seek child-care facilities for their children. At Little Saints, your child will be in a nurturing, academic, family environment to teach them a lifelong love of learning. From the youngest to the oldest, a primary purpose of Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool will be to model and teach the caring love of Jesus to each individual.
What We Do:
Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool was established for children to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment within a Christian context, which would affirm God’s love and values and at the same time provide a happy place in which to learn and grow.
Children are enrolled in Upton’s Little Saints Christian Preschool from the age of 2.9 years through entering Kindergarten.
All children are taught God’s love, God’s world, and the very special love and respect God wants for us to have for others. Values, which build a foundation for life, are communicated in an atmosphere of Christian love.
The classrooms are under the direction and watchful eye of qualified, experienced professionals who share a deep concern for the welfare, development, and happiness of each child. We are committed to providing positive and consistent guidance to all children based on their individual needs and development. All teachers are licensed by The Department of Early Education and Care and are First Aid certified and CPR certified.
